WPPI, Las Vegas, and More!

Last week was the Wedding and Portrait Photographer International (WPPI) convention and trade show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  It was my first time attending this incredible event and I had a blast.  Was able to learn a few new things from greats in the industry and meet up with some other photographers (including Kris, my talented NJ based cousin www.krisrupp.com).  Not to mention the trade show which is awesome and will make a serious dent in your bank account if you are not careful.

Of course it was Vegas, so it wasn't all business, we had a chance to check out the strip and hit the casinos.  I was able to channel my inner Jerry Seinfeld and come away pretty much "even Steven" for the trip.

And since its me you know I had to hit the road and make a few day trips.  Our 2 hour trip to Zion National Park in Utah was a washout.  It rained for most of the day, and my second attempt to get the iconic Watchman shot that everyone gets at Zion was not successful. Hopefully the 3rd time will be the charm there.  The next day we hit the road again, this time in the other direction to Death Valley National Park in California.  The weather was pretty much perfect this time and Priscilla and I had an awesome time exploring this HUGE park.  We were only able to see a small section of the park in a day trip so we will have to come back another time to see more.

Check out some pics!
